REGISTRATIONS STARTED FOR 9TH PUMP-VALVE-COMPRESSOR CONFERENCE

Registrations started for the 9th Pump-Valve-Compressor Conference, which will be held between 5-7 November 2015 at İstanbul Exhibition Centre together with Pawex-Comp Exhibition.

The first conference organized by Turkish Pump Association was about only pumps in 1994. Since then, eight conferences were organized and the valves have been included in the conference program in addition to pumps. This year, compressors and fans are also included in the program. In general, all these topics are related to the fluid machinery and system components that can not be considered seperately

In Turkey, R&D support provided by state organizations (TUBITAK, Ministry of Science, Industry an Technology) has started to give important impuls to the industry for the last 15 years. Turkish firms started to have up to date engineering tools and to use them in research, development, desing and manufacturing. The importance of the R&D departments has been understood and as a result, the quality of their products became as high as the ones of their reputators. The faculty members played important roles in these process and the first important steps in university and industry cooperation were taken.

The main topic of the conference was determined as Eco Design and Eco Systems as a result of our responsibility for future generations

The 9th Pump, Valve, Compressor and Fan conference will be the time to exchange, evaluate and discuss R&D activities.

Preparing an environment in which the subjects included in sector’s activity area are discussed, bringing the people engaged in research, design, manufacturing, operation and marketing activities on pumps, valves, compressors, fans and related plants, besides representatives of the institutions making a contribution to the sector together, constitute the purpose of this congress.

Organised by ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, POMSAD and METU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Conference is supported by sectoral associations, Turkisk Machinery Association, EUROPUMP, CEIR and Yildiz Technical University.

Technical and scientific abstract presentation to the Conference is open to all people and institutions working on the issues specified among the conference subjects. People who want to present an abstract should submit their abstract summary to the Conference Secretariat by 13th April 2015.

Notice summary assessed by the Regulatory Board should be prepared according to the format available on www.pawex.net web site, consisting of minimum 250, maximum 400 words.
