The first congress organized by Turkish Pump Association was about only pumps in 1994. Since then, ten congresses were organized and the valves and compressors have been included in the congress program in addition to pumps.

Preparing an environment in which the subjects included in sectors’ activity area are discussed, bringing the people engaged in research, design, manufacturing, operation and marketing activities on pumps, valves,  compressors, fans and related plants, besides representatives of the institutions making a contribution to the sector together, constitute the purpose of this congress.

Congress, which will be held on 14-15 December 2023 at METU Culture and Convention Center, Ankara, is organized by POMSAD, ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and METU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The theme of the 11th Congress in 2023 will be “Water and Human 5.0”, which aims to make projections and disseminate information in line with the needs of investors while exhibiting the progress of our manufacturers.

In our previous congress themed “Turkey Prepared for Digital Transformation”, the concept of Industry 4.0 was mainly discussed. It has been seen that the transformative effects of this concept add a highly competitive techno-economic vision to all layers of civil society and the sustainability goals are neglected. Today, the concept of human and environment-centered “Human (society) 5.0”, where sustainability and ethical values ​​come to the fore, has entered our lives. In addition to water management, our 11th Congress will create an environment for all stakeholders of the industry to evaluate the transformations brought by innovation in products, taking into account the circular economy, by putting water and people at the center, and to discuss the role played by the pump and valve industry in this regard.

Our Congress, which is the only organization where all the stakeholders of our sectors have come together for many years; will be a Congress that will be very different from our previous Congresses in 2023, and in the 100th Anniversary of our Republic, the point reached by our sectors will be seen in the most effective way.
